The Henry County Education Fund is a community-based initiative born from the 2022 Bicentennial Celebration to positively impact the area’s future residents. The Fund is held by the Henry County Community Foundation. The initial investment is from the Bicentennial Celebration of 2022. Specifically, the Fund’s goal is to improve the accessibility and completion of post-secondary technical certificates through Ivy Tech Community College, with a preference for certificates offered at the local Ivy Tech located at 3325 State Road 3 in New Castle. The Fund will offer last dollar scholarships for the completion of technical certificates. The initial goal is to fund 2 to 4 scholarships in 2024. The long-term goal is to fund 100+ scholarships by 2032, Henry County’s 210th Birthday. Higher educational attainment supports community prosperity.
