The New Castle-Henry County Economic Development Corporation recently began distributing funds to businesses that were awarded a City of New Castle Business Grant. The grant’s funding source is federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) through the state’s Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA). The federal national objective of the grants is to benefit low-to moderate- income people through job retention.
The local purpose of the grants is to assist businesses that were greatly impacted by COVID-19.
The following businesses were chosen as recipients:
321Go Kids is a pediatric therapy and rehab clinic that delivers creative solutions through physical and occupational therapy to help children obtain their greatest potential. 321Go Kids was awarded a $10,000 business grant.
Building Blocks Preschool offers developmentally appropriate classes for children ages 2 1/2 through kindergarten. Building Blocks Preschool was awarded a $10,000 business grant.
Cosby Hanning owns a contract transport service business that involves contracting his semi to companies that need assistance with moving products. Hanning was awarded a $5,000 business grant.
Fierce Fitness is a 24-hour fitness center located on Main Street in New Castle. The gym offers memberships and bootcamp opportunities. Fierce Fitness was awarded a $5,000 business grant.
Fierce Fun Center is a bounce house rental business that offers fun, clean, and safe inflatables for customers to enjoy. Fierce Fun Center was awarded a $5,000 business grant.
G Bowers Sewer & Drain & Excavation offers services including, plumbing repairs, sewer and drain cleaning, bathroom remodels, water and sewer line replacement, and water heater installation. Bowers was awarded a $5,000 business grant.
The Rose Bowl is New Castle’s bowling alley and arcade center. The Rose Bowl is also one of five bowling alleys in the world to offer HyperBowling. The Rose Bowl was awarded a $10,000 business grant.
Stack’s Restaurant is a local restaurant that serves traditional breakfast options, hearty lunch and dinner selections, and an array of desserts. Stack’s was awarded a $25,000 business grant.
Whimsey N Such is a unique business located on Broad Street that offers antiques, handcrafted items, and repurposed gold. Whimsey N Such was awarded a $10,000 business grant.

Allstate Insurance – Begley Agency provides insurance policies for Henry County and the surrounding areas. Begley Agency was granted a $5,000 business grant.
Best Electric is an electric company that understands people work hard for their money- they deserve the best electrician that money can buy. Best Electric was awarded a $5,000 business grant.
Rachel Boggs is a hairstylist at the Honey Blonde Hair Company. Rachel was granted a $2,000 business grant.
Clean N’ Simple is a commercial cleaning service that is certified in Green Cleaning. Clean N’ Simple was awarded a $5,000 business grant.
Early Bird Diner is a classic restaurant in New Castle that offers breakfast and lunch. Early Bird was awarded a $5,000 business grant.
Jennifer Grose is a hairstylist at the Honey Blonde Company. Jennifer was awarded a $2,000 business grant.
Hoosier Auto Repair serves New Castle by providing certified ASE technicians to fix all of your vehicle’s needs. Hoosier Auto Repair was granted a $5,000 business grant.
Ice House Tavern is a local bar and pub serving the New Castle community. Ice House Tavern was awarded a $7,500 business grant.
Primo is a local eatery that specializes in pasta, sandwiches, and salads. They offer a full bar an eclectic beer and wine list. Primo was awarded a $25,000 business grant.
Selah Salon & Spa is a full-service salon that urges guests to pause and enjoy a moment of rest. Selah was awarded a $15,000 business grant.
Sousa Lawn Care Service serves New Castle by providing carpentry, mowing, snow removal, and mulching. They are a fully insured business. Sousa Lawn Care was awarded a $5,000 business grant.
