The only thing harder than spelling “entrepreneur” is being one.
The Dictionary.com definition of the word is “a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so.”
Henry County Creates, the local partnership of organizations designed to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in Henry County, is hosting “The Heart of Entrepreneurship” workshop on Oct. 25 to motivate and inspire people looking to take on that risk.
The lunch-and-learn workshop will also look to explain how community leaders can encourage more local entrepreneurship.
Since the summer of 2020, the Henry County Creates initiative has worked to promote small enterprises through the multi-week Business Builders series.
“The Heart of Entrepreneurship” will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, in the new shared workspace, @TheOffice, 1112 Broad St., New Castle.
The cost is $25 and lunch will be provided.
Registration is required by Thursday, Oct. 20. RSVP with Carrie Barrett, newcastlemainstreet@gmail.com or online at https://bit.ly/HC Entrepreneurship2022
The “The Heart of Entrepreneurship” workshop is aimed at current and future entrepreneurs and community leaders who want to support local small business growth.
The presenter is Duke Hamm, a certified FocalPoint Business Coach, who works with entrepreneurs from around the state.
“Entrepreneurship is a key component of economic growth in Henry County,” Hamm noted. “By working together, we can connect entrepreneurs with the resources they need to thrive in their endeavors.”
The Henry County Creates “The Heart of Entrepreneurship” workshop is presented by the New Castle Henry County Economic Development Corporation, New Castle Main Street and FocalPoint.
